It is one thing to get a commercial pilot's licence. It is quite another to fit the profile to get paid to have an "office in the air".
At PULSE, our pilot school in Madrid, we are committed to the second.
But because we know that a career as a pilot can become a real obstacle course (if you don't make the best decisions from the start), we have prepared a guide to help you with that.
3 Obstacles That Can Crash Your Commercial Piloting Career
(how to overcome them and become the pilot airlines are looking for)
In this guide that you can download for free, you will find, among other things...
- The profile of pilots airlines are looking for today (and how to choose the best pilot school to become one).
- What specific skill made the pilot of the Hudson miracle, in less than 2 minutes, make the decision that saved all 155 passengers on the plane (and it's not a superhero thing, you can train it too).
- How a manager with a very demanding job manages to stretch his time like chewing gum to become a commercial pilot (if your life situation is similar, you will see that you can too).
- The story of John, who had to give up his dream of becoming a commercial pilot because he got stuck paying for his degree (and how to avoid the same thing happening to you).
- The planes that PULSE students fly (that curiosity you take away)
- The answer to the question of whether your lifestyle fits with the profession of pilot and whether, as an aspiring pilot, you are one of "us"...
- An extra tip for choosing the best pilot school that you may not even have thought of (and maybe nobody has told you either)
In short, with this guide we want to help you make your dream of becoming a commercial pilot a dream come true.
But once you download it, we will write to you frequently with the same objective: that you live in the air with the serenity that the best pilots transmit. Then you decide what kind of pilot you want to become.

Look.
There is a scene in the movie 'Catch Me If You Can', in which Leonardo di Caprio plays a notorious con man, Frank Abagnale Jr., who passed himself off as a pilot without being one, in which the following happens...
Frank is eating in a fancy restaurant with his father, who he has told that he is a pilot, and they have this conversation:
—To the best damn pilot in the sky!— says the father, raising his glass.
—It’s not what you think, I’m just a copilot,— says the supposed pilot, looking down.
—You see these people staring at you? These are the most powerful people in New York City, and they keep peeking over their shoulders wondering… Where you’re going tonight? Where you going, Frank?
—Dad, nobody’s staring at me…
—Some place exotic? Just tell me where you’re going.
—Los An… Hollywood. Hollywood.— Frank made up
—Come here—says the father, and leans closer to whisper in his ear:—The rest of us… really are suckers.— and winks at him.
Good.
Two important things:
First one.
Obviously, if you are not a pilot, you are not a sucker, but it is true that society still looks at pilots as if they were aliens, something unattainable.
And this is not the case.
If it's your dream, you are passionate about it and you want to become a pilot, you can achieve it.
Buuuuuuuut…
And here comes the second one:
Being a pilot is not just… Wow! , how cool!, I can fly a plane! everyone notices (while wearing my uniform and my stripes) that I’m a pilot.
Being a pilot is something much more serious, and you will understand it with this phrase used in PULSE to summarize our teaching philosophy…
If you want fish you're going to have to get your ass wet.
You will see.
We will not train you to weigh apples and pears, with all due respect to fruit growers.
We're going to train you, as well as for an exciting profession with the best office views ever imagined, to transport lives on board and to operate an aircraft that, if an accident takes place, could make a hell of a mess.
Wherever it falls.
That is why, at our pilot school, we are committed to our own teaching model, in which we add personalised mental and emotional training to the formal training, so that you learn to resolve extreme situations quickly and intelligently.
This unique methodology, which includes online study of the theoretical part, will allow you to confidently lead your training from the moment you enter the school until you walk out the door with your pilot’s licence.
We will assist you in every way we can, but you are the one who will have to do the hard work.
Because we believe that only by making you responsible for your own training process will we be able to shape the great pilot in you.
The same pilot that companies want to hire and that passengers and crew want to fly with.
By the way, we are so rare that only aspiring pilots who leave us their e-mail address have access to our training information.
If you leave us yours, we'll also give you a free guide to keep your racing career on track.

Plus guidance on how not to crash your racing career.
And of 2 important reasons why you should NOT train with us, if you subscribe to our newsletter you will also learn about...
- That conversation you don't want to have with your granddaughter (if you ever have grandchildren) when you're 70 and look back on your life.
- Why, although Icarus lost his feathers for flying too high, you should never limit the height of your flight (in a metaphorical sense, of course)
- What does the metamorphosis of the caterpillar has to do with the transformation you could undergo, only if you decide to start your flying career at PULSE.
- An alternative plan rather than going to the cinema to see the second part of TOP GUN, which few pilot schools can offer you, and which you can share with a special person of your choice.
- The story of the falcon that did not fly and how this relates to the step you have not yet taken to start studying to become a pilot.
- The answer to the question of whether your lifestyle fits with the profession of pilot and whether, as an aspiring pilot, you are one of "us"...

On this website the few acronyms you will read are ATO and AESA, but only because we don't want you to think we are a joke and run away.
Neither are we going to tell you that our mission is to help you fulfill your dream, that we are as old as a mummy, nor are we going to list every aircraft in our fleet.
We have more important things to tell you that, if you are considering studying to become a pilot, will almost certainly be of interest to you.
If so...
If what you need is to ask for help…
