Private Pilot Licence PPL Online

You can look at it as just getting a Private Pilot's Licence.

Or you can see it as your first step away from the prospect of a grey life, with little or no exciting jobs, to take the controls of an aircraft, confident in the knowledge that you are the pilot that every passenger would want to fly with and every crew would want to fly with.

It all depends on the pilot's goggles you wear...

For the moment, I'm putting on my private pilot glasses.

Ok, but before we study, we want to fly with you.

Not looking for just any Private Pilot training in Madrid?

Are you looking for a private pilot school where you only have to travel to Cuatro Vientos to do what is really worthwhile: flying, and the rest you can study online?

A school where, whatever life situation you find yourself in, you can achieve your pilot’s license at your own pace, without feeling like you’re wasting your time, without suffocating yourself financially and without being blocked by those fears common to all aspiring pilots?

Then, that school is almost certainly us.

Welcome to the PULSE Flight Training Hub PPL Private Pilot Licence.

Private pilot training, which in addition to the official subjects, includes mindset and emotional training with a coach dedicated exclusively to you. For aspiring pilots like you, who not only want to get your licence, but also want to become the best pilot you can be.

A Private Pilot training where you will train the attitude necessary to fly.

You will come out of this training ready to enjoy flying and master the aircraft with total safety and clarity.

You will learn to manage those uncertainties and thoughts that sometimes become an obstacle when studying to become a pilot.

You will overcome the fear of the first few times and in a short time you will make the air your “home”.

And so you will enjoy the process of becoming a pilot, turning your passion into a learning process that will bring out the best in you.

As pilots who have already been through what you are about to start, we have created the training with which we would have liked to get our licence to take the controls of an aeroplane.

A training with which you will not only pass your Private Pilot Licence, but you will also train mentally and emotionally to lead your flights, manage the uncertainty and adrenaline of your first take-offs and resolve with temperance, intelligence and speed the extreme situations you may face while flying.

All this, with the certainty of learning with experienced flight instructors and in a pilot school adapted to your life circumstances, whatever they may be.

You will almost certainly be interested in our Private Pilot Licence training if you:

What will you achieve by training as a Private Pilot at PULSE and obtaining your PPL (A) licence?

Private Pilot training syllabus: what will you learn?

You will study all the subjects required by the FCL regulations, reinforcing the theory with real case studies and training in leadership, mindset and emotions, which you need to become the pilot (or co-pilot) that everyone wants to fly with.

The 9 subjects included in the programme to obtain your PPL Private Pilot Licence are:

Meteorology
Ever played at indentifying shapes in the clouds? Well, cloud shapes already have their own names… Cumulus, stratus, stratocumulus, cumulonimbus…

You will learn these names and other aspects of meteorology that will not only help you to decide the outfit you are going to wear every day, but also to know the environment in which the aircraft moves, thus making your flight a safe experience.

Navigation
So that it doesn’t happen to you like in ‘The Blair Witch’ when you end up throwing the map into the river because you don’t understand it… You will learn how to interpret maps, get directions and times. To plan your flights in a safe way. And, once on the plane, to know where you are at all times.

Principles of flight
We insist that you don’t need to be Einstein to study the PPL private pilot course, but you do need to know the laws of physics necessary to understand how on earth a huge thing like an aeroplane floats and moves through the air.

Communications
The classic MAYDAY, MAYDAY, MAYDAY, and everything else you need to know to communicate properly with the air traffic control service of the area or airport where you are going to fly.

Operational Procedures
You will understand and study in depth Annex 6 of the Convention on International Civil Aviation. It sounds like a lot, but it’s everything you need to know to fly safely around the world.

Performance
You know when you load the boot of your car and the passengers have to get out and push to get it to start? Well, that’s not possible in an aeroplane. That’s why you need to give sense to the information in the aircraft’s manual about its technical characteristics and the maximum load it can take off with.

Human Factors
Those things that happen to some of us when we board an aeroplane… Like our ears getting blocked, and others that will always help you to guarantee your safety and that of the crew or passengers on board.

Aircraft General Knowledge
The basics: you will learn how an aircraft works and you will study all its components.

Air Law
Essential, because if you break the aviation laws… Houston, we have a problem…

Do you want to know the plan we have to become a pilot in pulse?

Leave us your email and we will tell you the route you have to follow to obtain your Private Pilot Licence PPL.

What is so special about the training we have at Pulse so that you can make your dream of flying come true?

INTEGRATED SOLUTION

Not only will you train to fly a plane and pass your exam to get your private pilot’s licence, but you will also train mentally and emotionally. You will also train mentally and emotionally to lead your flights, manage the uncertainty and adrenaline of your first take-offs and resolve with temperance, intelligence and speed the extreme situations you may face while flying.

GO AT YOUR OWN PACE

Nowadays we get everything at the click of a button. Being a pilot, too. At least at PULSE

Do you have any idea of the hassle you´ll avoid by not getting stuck on the road on your trips to Cuatro Vientos for theory classes?

And not only the hassle, but also the time and money you will save and the peace of mind of being able to make your studies compatible with your life circumstances, whatever they may be.

WE FOLLOW YOU CLOSELY

Pilot training can make room for many doubts: if I’m stuck with this subject, if I’ll leave it until the end, if I’ll take this one first…

That’s why you will have a specific instructor assigned to you, with whom you will meet at least once a week.

He or she is your pilot mentor, that instructor who can guide you because he or she has already been through what you will go through.

AND REMEMBER, YOU ARE GOING TO GO UP TO CUATRO VIENTOS AIRPORT JUST TO DO WHAT IS SO WORTHWHILE: FLYING TRAINING

You only need to pass the first 4 theoretical subjects at SENASA to start flying with an instructor.

You are just one step away…

You are going to do the 45 hours of flying required to obtain your Private Pilot Licence.

In addition, you are going to have access to Private Radar, an application that will help you to book your flight practices and so that, from PULSE, we can keep track to optimise your training as a pilot.

Listen up:

We are so confident of your success (if you follow 100% our instructions and educational guidelines) that if it should happen that you need more flight hours than the compulsory ones to obtain your licence, we will take care of up to 5 hours more.

Please note that the price per hour of flying with an instructor is around 200€.

Why study at PULSE Pilot School?

Experienced (obviously) flight instructors, we won’t put you in the air with just anyone.

We are not a traditional flight school, but we also offer you everything that a normal pilot school can offer you.

Practical training at Cuatro Vientos, to familiarise you with the dynamics of an airport with a lot of air traffic, which will give you a lot of fluency in your handling of an aeroplane.

It goes without saying that our Private Pilot syllabus complies with European EASA-FCL regulations.

Needless to say, we are recognised as an authorised training organisation by AESA.

Access to the PULSE Flying Club (after obtaining your licence) so that you can travel wherever you like, but always within the Iberian Peninsula.

Flexible timetable for theoretical (100% online) and practical training: you schedule your flights. With us you have no excuse not to fulfil your dream of becoming a pilot.

Weekly 1:1 sessions with your pilot mentor, that instructor who understands you perfectly because he/she has already been through the same thing as you

98% of our students pass their theoretical phase in their first cycle. Because we care about your studies, but we care even more about our reputation as a school. So, when in doubt, don’t take the exam.

Let's talk about what hurts the most, what is the price of the Private Pilot training at PULSE?

The final price of the PPL (A) licence depends on whether you only want to train as a private pilot or if you already know that after obtaining your licence you want to become the commercial pilot that every crew wants to fly with and every passenger wants to travel with.

Only you know which is the best option for you…

All the flight training of the PPL Private Pilot PULSE training is done at Madrid Airport, Cuatro Vientos.

The theoretical training is online, which means that you can study at your own pace, at the time of the day that best suits you, from Fuengirola or Honolulu and, if it is more comfortable for you, in your pyjamas and slippers.

The time it takes you to finish the PPL private pilot training and get your licence is up to you, since all the theoretical part is online you can take it at your own pace.

As a reference:

  • 70% of the students achieve their PPL (A) licence in 6 months
  • 20% of students obtain their PPL (A) licence within 3 months,
  • 10% of the students obtain their PPL (A) licence between 6 and 12 months

As soon as you have passed 4 subjects at SENASA, you can start your flight practices, combining the rest of the theoretical training of private pilot PPL with the practical training.

However, you have to take into account factors such as the weather, periodic reviews of the aircraft (mandatory every 50 hours of flight) and, although it is not very common because our aircraft meet the safety requirements required by AESA maintenance reviews, failures could arise.

Factors which, if they coincide with your training period, could change your expected date for obtaining your private pilot’s licence.

Private pilot training at PULSE takes approximately 6 months between theoretical training and practical flight hours.

As soon as you start the training, your assigned pilot mentor will help you establish your study roadmap, aimed at setting a realistic time target, taking into account your expectations and your availability according to your current lifestyle and pace of life.

Once you have completed your PPL Private Pilot PULSE training, you have to pass the theoretical part, a flight test and a practical test.

The theoretical test consists of 9 exams, to be passed in 6 sittings in a maximum of 18 months, and 4 attempts per subject.

Our PPL private pilot course includes the practice and learning of all the manoeuvres required by the regulations.

The rating you get once you have completed your PPL private pilot training and passed the official exams is the SEPL (Single Engine Piston Land), which allows you to fly aircraft with a single piston engine, but always on an unpaid basis.

Subsequently, you can apply for other ratings, such as MEP (Multi Engine Piston Land) or even Instrument Rating (IR).

The training ends once you pass the practical flight test.

To obtain the Private Pilot Licence, PPL(A), you have to pass 9 theoretical subjects, complete a minimum of 45 hours of flight training with an instructor and pass the practical flight test.

By the way, we are so confident of your success (if you follow our educational guidelines and instructions 100%) that if you should (strangely) need more flight hours than the 45 hours required to obtain your licence, we will take care of up to 5 hours more.

Please note that the price per hour of flight with the instructor is around 200€.

Flying licences do not expire, what expire are the ratings acquired with the licence.

In the case of private pilot, you acquire the SEPL (Single Engine Piston Land) rating, which is the one you have to renew every 2 years, through a skill check with a flight examiner, or having flown at least 12 hours in the last year (and one of them with a flight instructor).

Right now, if you like.

The promotion officially starts the day you enrol.

Once you have paid your enrollment fee, we will contact you personally and give you immediate access to the Pulse Training Hub, where you can start studying the theoretical part.

We assign you an individual mentor, your pilot mentor, who will guide you through your learning process and answer any questions you may have.

You will also meet your coach so you can start the mental and emotional training that will make the difference between the pilot you are going to become in PULSE and the rest of the pilots.

10 days before the first group class, we will hold an online introduction session for you to meet the other 9 students and explain the dynamics of the training in more detail.

In the PULSE private pilot training flight practice, you will take the controls of the CESSNA 172 and PIPER PA28-180 models.

To start private pilot training you have to be at least 16 years old and pass an aeronautical examination called class II. Once you have passed it, you have to start private pilot training, pass the 9 theoretical subjects and do at least 45 hours of flying.

The private pilot does not earn money, it is a sporting licence that allows you to fly single-engine aircraft with a maximum take-off weight of 5,700 kg.

Once you have completed 100 hours of flight time as a pilot in command (PIC), you can supplement your training and complete your flight instructor (FI) training. You can then start flying for pay as an instructor.

You can, of course, also undertake commercial pilot training after obtaining a private pilot’s licence.

You cannot work with a private pilot’s licence, as it is not a professional pilot’s licence, but a general or sport aviation licence.

Really?

A commercial pilot.

The private pilot does not earn more or less, he/she is simply not paid, as it is a non-professional sporting licence.

But if you want to become a commercial pilot, the first step is to get your private pilot’s licence, and then you can continue your commercial pilot training.

This is a very personal question, something that only you can answer.

But bearing in mind that either of the two payment methods that we offer you in the PPL private pilot course at PULSE, costs you less than the average cost of a second-hand car in Spain, and that with this investment you will be able to start flying for enjoyment as a private pilot, or if it is your case, you will take the first step to train in one of the most beautiful professions that exist, leaving behind a grey life perspective with unexciting or unexciting jobs...

Clearly worth the investment...
